HopeCraft is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to empower women in Africa. Many of the women are affected by HIV/AIDS and are often left to support children on their own. These women create beautiful jewelry, baskets, textiles, and horn products, but lack a viable local market. HopeCraft transports the crafts to the United States and sells them at local craft fairs and home sales, returning proceeds to help the women and the craft cooperatives in which they work.

How can you help? After two years of successful operation, HopeCraft has raised over $50,000 through the sales of crafts to help women in Africa. During the start-up process, the women provided crafts on good faith, but had to wait for the profits. Going forward, the crafts need to be purchased outright to provide immediate financial relief for the women. HopeCraft is in need of funds to purchase crafts for the future and especially for the November and December craft sale season. With a financial sponsorship, you can be an important part of helping these women support themselves and their children.
